In March, GW’s Campus Plan, a vision for the future of the Foggy Bottom Campus in the context of its surrounding neighborhoods, was approved by the D.C. Zoning Commission. The plan will allow GW to implement its “Grow Up, Not Out” development strategy, which focuses on accommodating the University’s forecasted academic and undergraduate student housing space needs while also providing a campus historic district, a dynamic Eye Street retail corridor, enhancements to campus open spaces, and implementation of environmentally-sensitive design principles.
