MESSAGE FROM MORY

Greetings fellow alumni –

The energy on campus is palpable as we approach Commencement Weekend. We eagerly anticipate the newest additions to our alumni family, and invite all members to bring fresh ideas to regional summit meetings currently scheduled for you in Boston, Philadelphia, New York and Ft. Lauderdale. These meetings are a great opportunity to mingle and network with fellow alumni, generate ideas for the upcoming school year, and get involved with GW from your city.

On behalf of the GW Alumni Association, we are proud to present the recipients of the 2007 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards, which will be presented during Commencement Weekend.

The 70th annual Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards recognize the professional and philanthropic contributions of exceptional alumni who represent the highest ideals of the University.

This year’s honorees are:

Thad Allen, MPA ’86, currently vice-admiral and chief of staff of the Coast Guard, becoming commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard on May 25
-
