Greetings fellow alumni –

The energy on campus is palpable as we approach Commencement Weekend. We eagerly anticipate the newest additions to our alumni family, and invite all members to bring fresh ideas to regional summit meetings currently scheduled for you in Boston, Philadelphia, New York and Ft. GW Alumnus is Both Master and Commander
Although many GW alumni can claim the title of Master, few can be rightly called Commander. Rear Admiral Robert D. Reilly, Jr., MPA ’93, is the exception. On March 10, 2006, he was named commander of Military Sealift Command in a ceremony at the historic Washington Naval Yard. READ FULL ARTICLE
Kevin Eckstrom, BA ’97, has been promoted to editor of Religion News Service (RNS). Eckstrom is vice president of the board of trustees for the Religion Newswriters Association and his work was featured in the book, Changing Boundaries: The Best Religion News Writing of 2003.

A wild turkey that insists on being a GW Colonial has been nesting behind the Academic Center and refuses to leave, giving the Hippo some competition as unofficial mascot!
