In March, GW hosted the Newton Mathematics Competition. Sponsored by GW’s department of mathematics, the contest featured high school students from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia in both individual and team competitions. The questions, based on precalculus mathematics, challenged the students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.
