PRESIDENT TRACHTENBERG TO HONOR KOLINDA GRABAR-KITAROVIC
Please join President Trachtenberg for a Presidents Medal Ceremony in honor of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, minister for foreign affairs and European integration for the Republic of Croatia.

Foreign Minister Grabar-Kitarovic was born in Rijeka, Croatia. She lived in the United States for part of her childhood and graduated from Los Alamos High School in New Mexico. She began her diplomatic career immediately after graduating from the University of Zagreb. She earned a masters degree in international relations and began pre-doctoral studies as a Fulbright Scholar at The George Washington Universitys Elliott School of International Affairs. Grabar-Kitarovic became the minister for foreign affairs and European integration in February 2005.

JEWISH RENAISSANCE EXHIBIT AT GELMAN LIBRARY
The George Washington Universitys Gelman Library presents Artistic Expressions of the Jewish Renaissance, an exhibition of original artwork. The exhibit features the original artwork of Hermann Struck (1876-1944) and E.M. Lilien (1874-1925) whose work represents the wide spectrum of Jewish life and art in the post-emancipation era.
