ALUMNA ASSISTS FEMA AFTER HURRICANE KATRINA
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, numerous Americans have answered the call to service, and GW alumni are no exception. Kate Cottrell, BBA 05, is making a difference in Louisiana. READ FULL ARTICLE
Keith G. Haddaway, JD 97, Jeanne L. Newlon, JD 96, and Dana C. Nifosi, JD 91, were recently promoted to partner in their law firm, Venable, LLP. Haddaway specializes in intellectual property law, Newlon focuses on tax and wealth planning, and Nifosis area of expertise includes legal issues surrounding the environment, transportation, and land use.
Kent Adams, BA 78, has been elected chairman of the Board of Regents of the Texas State University System (TSUS). Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed Adams to the board in 2001, and his two-year term as chairman began in January.

Alumnus Lieutenant Visits with General Peter Pace
First Lieutenant John Mooney, BA 03, poses for a photo with General Peter Pace, MBA 72. Pace and his wife visited troops in Mosul and Baghdad on New Years Eve to boost morale and to wish the soldiers a happy new year.
