Imagination and Knowledge: Centennial Celebration of Einstein’s Miraculous Year – Image and Ideas, an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the publication of three of Einstein’s most celebrated papers, will take place over the next six weeks.

JEWISH RENAISSANCE EXHIBIT AT GELMAN LIBRARY
The George Washington University’s Gelman Library presents Artistic Expressions of the Jewish Renaissance, an exhibition of original artwork. The exhibit features the original artwork of Hermann Struck (1876-1944), and E.M. Lilien (1874-1925), whose work represents the wide spectrum of Jewish life and art in the post-emancipation era.

The opening will be a kosher reception and a discussion of the art. The event is free and open to the public. A photo ID is required to enter the building. The exhibit runs through summer 2006. Collection hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., or by special appointment.

DANCEWORKS FALL 2005
DanceWorks Fall 2005 is part of the biannual modern dance concert series presented by the theatre and dance department. Directed by Dana Tai Soon Burgess, assistant professor of dance, DanceWorks is a collection of pieces choreographed by GW dance students and faculty and performed by GW students. Come out and cheer on your Colonials! The 2005-2006 basketball season is sure to be energizing. The men’s and women’s basketball teams are hot right now – Under Head Coach Joe McKeown, the women’s team has made the NCAA 12 times in the previous 16 years. Last year, under Head Coach Karl Hobbs, the men’s team won the A-10 championship for the first time in the history of GW and made an appearance at the NCAA.

A variety of home tailgaters are planned for the 2005-2006 men’s and women’s basketball season. Save the dates!
