SAVE THE DATE –WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Please join GW Professor Chuck Cushman as he presents “Congress
and National Security Policy: Iraq, Katrina, and the Future.”
What is Congress’s role in setting national security policy? How does the Congress work with the White House to make important decisions, select priorities, and fund key agencies? What happens in the face of difficulties, and how can Congress fix demonstrated failings?
In this short presentation, Professor Chuck Cushman will explore the historical reasons for Congress and the President sharing powers, recent history, and current policy challenges. He will conclude with a look to the future, and how Congress might execute its Constitutional responsibilities more faithfully.
Please stay tuned to future Colonial Cables for more information.
