The Washington Nationals announced that former GW left-handed pitcher, Michael O’Connor, was named minor league Pitcher of the Year. During the season, O’Connor led the Nationals minor league system in strikeouts and tied for first with 10 wins. He went 10-11 with a 3.54 ERA in 26 starts. O’Connor received his award at RFK Stadium during a recent Nationals versus San Francisco game.
