COLONIALS MVP CHOSEN IN CBA DRAFT

Former GW Men’s basketball star T.J. Thompson was the No. 1 overall pick of the 20th Annual Continental Basketball Association College Draft. Thompson, who holds the GW record for the most three-pointers made in a career, was selected by an expansion team, the Albany Patroons. As a senior last season, Thompson led the Colonials to their first Atlantic 10 Championship and eighth NCAA Tournament appearance. He was a 2005 A-10 All-Conference First Team selection and was named to the A-10 All-Championship Team and to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 4 First Team.
