The defending Atlantic 10 champion, the GW Men’s Colonials, announced the 2005-2006 basketball schedule, which includes at least three nationally televised games, and a minimum of three regionally televised appearances. The Colonials will play three games against opponents from the 2005 NCAA Tournament field including Charlotte and North Carolina State. The Colonials will also play five games against opponents from the 2005 NIT field, including Boston University, Maryland, Temple, and Saint Joseph’s. The GW Women’s basketball season begins on Friday, Nov. 18, when Virginia comes to the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The Colonials will play a minimum of 14 games against teams that earned bids to the postseason last year. Opponents who made the 2005 NCAA Tournament include Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina State, Purdue, Richmond, and Temple.
