The National Preseason Selection Committee announced that GW men’s basketball star Pops Mensah-Bonsu has been named as one of the top 50 preseason candidates for the men’s 2005-2006 John R. Wooden Award All-American Team. The list is composed of 50 student-athletes who, based on last year’s individual performance and team records, are the front-runners for college basketball’s most coveted trophy.
