GW ALUMNUS BECOMES CONSUL GENERAL TO SHANGHAI

Kim Yang, MA ’82, was appointed by the South Korean government as consul general to China’s commercial hub Shanghai. Yang graduated from Yonsei University in Korea before coming to the U.S. to obtain a master’s degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs. He is the grandson of Kim Koo, who was one of Korea’s most revered independence fighters.
