PARTICIPATE IN A GLOBAL
STUDY ON PROJECT MANAGEMENT
|
Is project management a profession? If not, what is it?
In their groundbreaking work, Professionalization of Project Management:
Exploring the Past to Map the Future, Bill Zwerman and Janice Thomas
concluded recently that project management is not currently perceived
to be a profession, nor is it likely to become so in the near future.
Paul D. Giammalvo, MS ’93, is conducting follow-up research on this
topic under the supervision of Dr. Christophe N. Bredillet at the Lille
Graduate School of Management, and wants to know what you think. Is project
management an emerging profession? If not, then help define what it is.
