GW EXPANDS LOUDOUN COUNTY CAMPUS
The GW Virginia Campus, located in Ashburn, nearly doubled in size with the purchase of the PSINet building last month. GW is using the space for several new research and technology projects.

U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT RECOGNIZES GW GRADUATE PROGRAMS
Miguel Angel Rodriguez, who will step down as president of Costa Rica in May, has been named a J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor in GW's Elliott School of International Affairs. Rodriguez will offer several courses and lectures during his two-year professorship.

GW FACULTY DIVERSITY INCREASES
A recent Faculty Senate report recognized GW's achievements in increasing the level of diversity among full-time faculty. The number of women faculty increased 55% over last year, while minority faculty increased by 28%.

James Ziglar, Commissioner of the INS and a dual-degree GW alumnus (BA '68, JD '72), recently lectured at the GW Law School. Ziglar is a 2002 recipient of the GW Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.

JAY LENO TO HEADLINE "COLONIALS WEEKEND 2002"
Comedian Jay Leno, host of NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," will perform during GW Colonials Weekend on Saturday, October 12. Colonials Weekend is a new tradition, formed by the merger of Alumni Weekend and Family Weekend.

GW YOUNG ALUMNI TO JOIN "UNIVERSITY ROW" AT THE VIRGINIA GOLD CUP
GW's Young Alumni Council and the SBPM Alumni Association will proudly participate in "University Row" at the 2002 Virginia Gold Cup on May 4. GW will join alumni from more than 30 other schools at the steeplechase event, a highlight of the DC social calendar. GW TO HOST NINE SCHOOLS AT INVITATIONAL CREW CLASSIC, APRIL 13
The GW Men's and Women's Crew teams will host their 15th annual invitational regatta this Saturday. In addition to the races, Alumni House is sponsoring "Party on the Potomac," a riverside celebration for Young Alumni and members of the Class of 2002. WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS EARNS FIFTH CONSECUTIVE ATLANTIC-10 TITLE
GW's Women's Gymnastics team set a record-high score to win the Atlantic 10 championship for the fifth straight year on March 23. The Colonials placed fourth at the NCAA regional championships at Penn State University.
