The Luther W. Brady Art Gallery

The Luther W. Brady Art Gallery of GW, on the second floor of the Media and Public Affairs Building, features several exhibitions each year, including University-related shows and permanent collection exhibitions. Some shows are of historical and contemporary significance, often with a focus on the Washington area.

The curator of the gallery also administers the University's permanent collection, which includes important paintings, sculptures, graphics, textiles, ceramics, historic furnishings and photographs. Alumni and friends are welcome to attend preview openings of exhibitions. Please contact the gallery staff to place your name on the mailing list for information on these events. Charles E. Smith Athletic Center
The Charles E. Smith Center, one of GW's athletic and fitness facilities, offers several alumni benefits. The Smith Center's facilities, including the pool, sauna, track, fitness center, free weight room, basketball courts, racquetball courts and squash courts, are open to alumni free of charge during the academic year (September through May) during the following hours (subject to building availability):

Gelman Library
Alumni with a GWorld card have to access to the Gelman Library's open collection of books, journals, microfilms, special collections and other non-circulating items at no charge. For an annual fee of $50.00 (payable at the Circulation Desk), alumni may obtain limited borrowing privileges. For more information, please contact:

Jacob Burns Law Library
The Jacob Burns Law Library provides access to its collection for graduates of The George Washington University Law School. It also offers alumni access to selected databases for locating articles, books and related materials, as well as on-site reference service.
