AIESEC is an organization of young people, namely students.  Our members are general college or university students, undergraduate or graduate.  A lot of our students are also recent graduates who want a little experience working abroad before they get a full-time work experience.

With that being said, there are a couple of things that we look for in prospective candidates to join AIESEC.  To gain the most from the AIESEC experience, we are looking for people who:

  • Are Open-Minded; It is hard to gain insight into a new culture if you are unwilling to take even a step to learn about that culture.
  • Want to go Learn; We are a group developing global leaders.  We are a group of people who love learning about different cultures and various ways in which we can expand our leadership abilities to help us today and in our respective futures.

  • Love Meeting New People; AIESEC is a global social network, and within this organization you will meet amazing people, both in your home country and abroad.  These people will become your cushion and your friends.

  • Value Experiences; People who go abroad or are active members in AIESEC take away amazing life experiences that they cannot get anywhere else.  If you want to work abroad to make a nice profit, perhaps a different program would be best for you, as AIESEC emphasizes the experiences and the cultural immersion that takes place.

If you feel like you would be an eligible candidate for AIESEC, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Read more about the opportunities that we offer, and click on Contact Us to the left to find out how you can learn more and get in touch with AIESEC D.C.
